What if hesitation is not a weakness, but an engine?
Maria Minkova turns doubt into an interactive installation
An unusual artistic environment is emerging in Zhenski Pazar, in which the viewerdoes not just watch, but influences. Maria Minkova's new installation "Obsessions" turns the personal process of doubt into a shared experience. At the center of the space are textile panels that react to touch and activate different sound environments - from natural noises to industrial rhythms and unexpected acoustic images. Each gesture changes the environment, turning the viewer into an accomplice. The work combines textiles, plexiglass, stone and electronics. The translucent surfaces act as filters of reality, while the stones introduce a counterpoint - mass, time and immobility. Between them a specific graphic code of lines and dashes appears - a visual language of vibrations that translates the invisible into an image. "Obsessions" poses the question: what happens if we accept doubt not as an obstacle, but as a form of movement? The installation is part of a contemporary line in art in which the work is not a static object, but a process – a space that changes through the presence of the viewer.
