#LOOK: Ecology and Technology
Curated by Rositsa Getsova and Elizabeth Thallauer

When I think about them, it’s impossible to completely separate the two — yet just as difficult to fit them within the same frame. For me, ecology and technology is not a statement but a question. A question I cannot easily answer, and perhaps that’s why I created a work that avoids the obvious territories of artificial intelligence, robotics, and quantum computing.

At the center of the installation stands the DNA spiral — still the most perfect “technology” ever created, one that even our most advanced systems cannot fully decipher or decode. Why? Because unlike technology, nature has no beginning and no end. It evolves. It transforms. It slips away from the linear timelines we impose.

Time determines the fate of things.

Technologies fade.

Nature becomes.
